I have listened to and reviewed many-many audiobooks (+/- 1K).
My reviews are short, compact, honest, crude and opinionated.
Yes, I think I am very funny! As you will certainly discover. Although, I attempt my best not to be derogatory. It’s hard work to write a book, but if it’s lacking, I will have to point it out. Otherwise, I’m useless.
I prefer to write short critique reviews. I don’t like to retell the story, nor do I mention anything that could spoil the enjoyment for the next person. I like to describe how I felt, and how the listening experience impacted me. The bigger the impact the bigger the rantings and ravings. Not many people are aware of the difference between a book review which its summary aimed at telling readers about the plot while a book critique is the analysis aimed at critical responding and evaluating its quality.
