Michigan in Books

Michigan in Books is dedicated reviewing and promoting books on Michigan and the Great Lakes including: fiction, history, travel, biography, current events, industry, the Great Lakes, and the Michigan experience in all its facets. The blog reviews books by major commercial publishers, university presses, small independent Michigan presses, and self-published authors. It is especially interested in small presses and self-published books because they get so little attention and there is no corporate ad money supporting sales. No negative reviews are published. If the reviewer can’t write a positive review the book isn’t reviewed.

Scrutinizing Masochists: A Blog for Reviewing Fiction

We’re two girls who blog about all things fiction! We review primarily books, fiction, non-fiction, visual and virtual novels and otherwise, but also movies, games, podcasts, and TV shows. Uploads come out weekly every Friday at midnight EST, and sometimes Saturdays. We do not have a preference as to what books we’ll read, we’ll just tell you if we liked them! Our reviews are serious, but with a hint of comedy. Every month, we’ll set out a lineup of reviews, featuring a “monthly” review that we work on together. We also have a poll that you can go and vote on to decide what we’ll review in the future! Everything can be a story, and we’re a blog that likes to write about that. Come check us out!

Do You Dog-ear?

I blog about books and comics! It’s not a combination I see too often, but I love to mix things up. Reading a few comics between books allows me to reset before going into something different, and I adore all of the artwork. Comics (writing and drawing) require serious skills! Ironically, a lot of my favorite YA authors also write a comic.

I mostly read NA and Adult Romance, but I still venture out and read a few YA books every year. It just depends on my mood! I also have a few favorite authors that write YA, and I will forever read what they write.

Retrospect, On My Take!

Retrospect, on my take. I wanted to describe people, what this blog is all about by the name itself. And I thought this would be the perfect way to describe.  I, very early in life, have discovered that the calling of my passion lies in writing. To support and nurture my passion, I started Blogging. I review books/films/products etc. That’s how Retrospect, On My Take came into existence.
