My name is Yash and books for me are like a medicine which removes my ignorance and makes me feel and helps me in behaving more like a human. Though I live in the world’s largest democracy i.e India but when I look around I find this democracy has turned into the world’s largest monarchy . From Kashmir to kanyakumari and from Gujarat to arunachal pradesh people from a particular community or I would say particular surname hijacked this democracy and the political parties turned into family Enterprise in which only the family members are the shareholders.I want to change that and books are a weapon which is helping me so that I can help others and my nation.

I am not a bookworm!

My adventures, experiences and love affair with books.

I started this book in January of 2016. This January month marks the 2nd year anniversary of this blog.
As far as I can remember, I have always loved reading. I can remember reading my first grade English book from cover to cover at night before sleeping. I think stories about other places have planted the seed of my love for travel. I love that reading takes me places without getting on a plane and paying for a ticket. I can be anywhere in the world and be among other cultures without having to leave the room.
Books have widen my horizon about life in general, the world and even the universe. My first real books were Reader’s Digest Condensed books. My sister used to buy them from a second-hand bookstore and I would read them after she’s done. It was where I was introduced to Clive Cussler, Mary Higgins Clark, Wilbur Smith, Dick Francis, Robin Cook and it was how I started my love affair with mystery, suspense and thriller. I also try to keep up with new authors. Starting the blog and being on Goodreads did that for me. I meet contemporary, new and indie authors who out of nowhere found me through my blog or any of my social media accounts and asked me if I could review their book. And that’s the best feeling in the world. Blogging and reviewing books has become a lifestyle for me. I won’t give this up ever. Books have saved me in a lot of dark and overwhelming situations in my life. They have often put things in perspective when real life gets too much. Yes. I am a bookworm! I eat, breathe and love books.

Mostly book reviews, pictures of books (New to the Stacks), pictures of me with books (What’s Auntie Reading Now?)

I have a wide and varied reading appetite, lately mostly focusing on non-fiction topics discussed at the lecture series at work (The Computer History Museum).

My interest in religion is history, not ideology or how to be a better [insert religious name here]. For comparison’s sake, I enjoy Reza Aslan, Karen Armstrong, and Bart Ehrman.

Escape With A Book

My Book Blog is Escape With A Book… encouraging readers to run away to wonderful places and sometimes this is only possible within the pages of a book! I enjoy reading various genres although my favorite books are suspense, thrillers, crime mysteries, and historical fiction. I read and review books for NetGalley and for some best-selling authors. I hope to offer some book give-a-ways and promotions during the coming months.
When I am not reading I am usually on a nature preserve or wildlife area with my cameras. Life after retirement is great!

Denzil TheBookOwl

Reviews mainly on non-fiction books (especially science, current affairs, biographies, spirituality, nature) but fiction also covered. Keen to showcase indie and self-published authors. All reviews my own work. I am a freelance writer based in Belgium.

Lori’s Book Loft

Hello. My name is Lori. My library is located upstairs, hence, my blog is Lori’s Book Loft. I love books and perusing library and bookstore shelves. Years ago, I was a library supervisor, and freelanced for a publisher.

My blog is dedicated to books and reviews. I do receive requests to review advanced reading copies and other works. My reviews are made available to viewers and also libraries who use reviews to expand their collections. I truly believe reading expands awareness. And, I hope this blog helps you find new books to love!

Book Ink Reviews

Book Ink Reviews started out as a little baby side project and has turned into a book blog with a steady following. All kinds of books are reviewed, and there is a tab to follow if an author would like to request a book review to be done. I update as often as I can finish books, which tends to be about two times a week. Aside from blogging on the blog, all reviews also get promoted across all social media sites–which means more free advertising for the author!

Resolved for Christ

I write book reviews about mostly Christian books, as well as Bible studies.
