Honestly Austen

Come along with me on a literary adventure where we explore books which have and continue to create our literary identity. I love to put book editions head to head in my version of a literary red carpet with Who Wore it Best Wednesdays as well as the literary monikers which inspire us to name those little ones in our lives (from pets to babies and anyone in between) with my version of Nameberry which I refer to as LitBerry Babes. I also love to write my own short stories which I loving call Tiny Tales! There is even more to explore on my blog and I look forward to the amazing literary chats we will have!

A Bastard’s Reviews

Review policy Instructions …PLEASE READ!

I am mostly interested in reviewing novels and short stories from indie writers (my favorites are non-fiction and coming of age stories) ; however, I will consider reviewing other genres on a select, case-by-case basis. However, here are the genres I WILL NOT review under any circumstance:

Romance

Erotica

Fantasy

POLICY:

I will write a brief, concise and to-the-point review as I don’t believe in reviews that summarize the entire novel. I only accept mobi files or PDF files. I will be honest but constructive in my reviews.

I check all submissions and emails currently I am on Beijing time. I will consider each submission, but I will not guarantee I will review your book or reply to your submission. Open for past, present , and future publication dates. All accepted books are placed in order of queue and reviews are written as quickly as humanly possible ( I have a full time gig and projects of my own) My limit will likely be two or three per month and I welcome guest reviewers.

We Need More Shelves

We Need More Shelves is a simple site that includes book reviews, art I love, and reference links for readers. Favorite genres are historical mystery, historical fiction, light fantasy and science-fiction, adventure (especially pulp fiction) and non-fiction history. I occasionally review biographies and memoirs and contemporary mysteries. I seldom read romance. I never read horror or erotica. I will always write a fair review, but not necessarily a positive one. However, I seldom read anything I really hate, and I never trash books or authors.

Sentranced Jem

My name is Merensola Jemima Jamir and i’m from India.
I am a bookaholic, a bibliobibuli and an all round book horder. I love to read and dream dreams about my favourite characters 😉

I love all genres…well…Almost. You won’t find me at the horror section but besides that… I’ll be the 20+ something girl thats about 5’2 1/2 inches TALL (yes, the 1/2 inch counts) having a crisis, convincing herself not to buy all the books.

Ever The Crafter

I review all books I read and you can check my review request info in the about section. I’m happy to accept books so long as they sound like something I would enjoy reading. If they aren’t I will decline as I’d never want to give an author a bad review simply because it’s not my genre.
I read mostly SSF. Sci fi and fantasy are my go to. Although I do read other YA and contemporary books as well. I prefer books without romance but so long as the romance doesn’t over power the plot I’m fine with it. I’ve read enough romance in books to be getting tired of it. Unless the romance is LGBT+ rep, if you’re book is heavy on the romance, I’m probably not your gal.

The Cozy Pages

I love mysteries but prefer happy endings. Cozy Mysteries are my favourite whodunnit stories. They are light-hearted but when written well leave you dying to find out what happens next. I use my blog to chat about my favourite books (not just Cozies), characters and authors. I’ve also found the blogosphere to be a great place to meet new books I would not have otherwise come across. Come share your thoughts on your favourite stories. I’ll keep you updated on a few of my favourites and on new releases from some indie authors as well.
