The Book Scoop

The Book Scoop is run by Lucy and Nick, a pair of book-pythons (as in next-level book-wormery) who like to review the latest books, plus a few classics. We do debate-style blogs, where we argue energetically over our opinions, plus single reviews, and we hope to start interviewing authors in the future.

ReadingRuby

My blog is book-centric and focuses on book reviews, also featuring bookish goals, anticipated lists and other book-themed content! Most of the books that I feature are mystery/thrillers, Romance/Comedy/Chick-Lit, Adult Fiction and Horror.
I try to stay up to date with current releases and review them for my readers, but I also look for older books which I have missed and are recommended! Come on over to my blog and let me know your favourite books so that I can go and read them!

I am not a bookworm!

My adventures, experiences and love affair with books.

I started this book in January of 2016. This January month marks the 2nd year anniversary of this blog.
As far as I can remember, I have always loved reading. I can remember reading my first grade English book from cover to cover at night before sleeping. I think stories about other places have planted the seed of my love for travel. I love that reading takes me places without getting on a plane and paying for a ticket. I can be anywhere in the world and be among other cultures without having to leave the room.
Books have widen my horizon about life in general, the world and even the universe. My first real books were Reader’s Digest Condensed books. My sister used to buy them from a second-hand bookstore and I would read them after she’s done. It was where I was introduced to Clive Cussler, Mary Higgins Clark, Wilbur Smith, Dick Francis, Robin Cook and it was how I started my love affair with mystery, suspense and thriller. I also try to keep up with new authors. Starting the blog and being on Goodreads did that for me. I meet contemporary, new and indie authors who out of nowhere found me through my blog or any of my social media accounts and asked me if I could review their book. And that’s the best feeling in the world. Blogging and reviewing books has become a lifestyle for me. I won’t give this up ever. Books have saved me in a lot of dark and overwhelming situations in my life. They have often put things in perspective when real life gets too much. Yes. I am a bookworm! I eat, breathe and love books.

Pages and Pekoe

This blog is about documenting the books that I read, participating in the book community, making new friends, and improving my writing. I want to take that feeling you get when you finish a great book and just want to talk about it and share that with like-minded people. Because you’re my kind of people!

Escape With A Book

My Book Blog is Escape With A Book… encouraging readers to run away to wonderful places and sometimes this is only possible within the pages of a book! I enjoy reading various genres although my favorite books are suspense, thrillers, crime mysteries, and historical fiction. I read and review books for NetGalley and for some best-selling authors. I hope to offer some book give-a-ways and promotions during the coming months.
When I am not reading I am usually on a nature preserve or wildlife area with my cameras. Life after retirement is great!
