Power Librarian

I’m a librarian and fledgling author who’s passionate about getting the right books into the right hands. I review almost all genres across age categories from young adult to adult. I’m a little pickier when it comes to science fiction and historical fiction. For science fiction, I prefer books that lean towards the “soft” side, and for historical fiction, I prefer genre-blended: eg. spy, thrillers, sci fi, fantasy… For non-fiction – I prefer science books.

My son and I review children’s books together, primarily picture books at this point. I review adult books on the blog as well. My reading preferences are fantasy, cozy mystery, and historical romance. I have a review policy posted on the blog.

Bout-a-Book blog

I started Bout-a-Book because I needed a place to go to rant and rave about everything books. Living the military life has its own hardships and one of those is making friends…finding people who you can be weird with. One day I just got tired of looking for that book bestie and decided to create my own world that I could fall into and get lost in. I hope Bout-a-Book blog can be that for you too.

Eastern Sunset Reads

Eastern Sunset Reads was started back in October 2010 to keep track of my own thoughts on the books I am reading. It has evolved very little over the years, it still remains my thoughts on the books I am reading, but with a little less rambling than in the beginning. I post reviews 3 to 5 days a week and also post lists, tags, discussions and occasional giveaways and author interviews. I also have a few consistent features, each Friday night I post a review on a Children’s book for Bedtime Stories, I have events for Children’s Book Week and Banned Book Week. I also host a Rhode Island Author month to support my local authors and in December an Advent Reads event featuring a new holiday book each day leading up to Christmas.

I read a wide variety of books including Children’s Books, Early Reader, Middle Grade, Young Adult, Romance, Graphic Novels and Fantasy. You can find a more specific list on my blog for books I will and will not accept for review.

Thank you for taking the time and I hope you will stop by for a visit. ~Ang

Zooloo book blog

My blog started by friends who thought it would be a great idea if I had a place to have a voice about the books I read and general musings. I try to be funny – not always successful, when putting my thoughts out on the big wide web. I have only just started out but already I have quite a few posts on my blog – 2 being Q&A’s with authors which I am incredibly excited about! I have also been approved to review nearly 70 books on Netgalley (again all new to me!) so check out the reviews as I live and breathe books!
