Suzy’s Book Shelf

I’ve  started my site and its matching blog a little while ago in February of this year to be exact, when my addiction to reading, and subsequent desire to talk about them has lead me to this path , Books that intrigue and excite, make your heart race, your pulse throb , that they literally transport you any where, to be anyone and do anything, made me want to start writing down my thoughts and feelings good or bad about the books I am reading.
A total novice, but enjoying the heck out of it

As it turned out I’m not the only one with such an addiction and I feel like I’ve found my passion, something sadly missing of late, I’ve had the privilege of “READING” an incredible number of amazingly wonderful books and have friended some incredibly talented authors on Facebook with a shared love for reading. I know they are a lot of us bloggers out there, but the demon on my shoulder is telling me to do it, Self taught all along the way. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me knowing there are so many other people out there whose hearts race when their favorite book is mentioned, who like me sometimes pull an all niter to read ‘cos’they just *HAVE* to finish their book and to see if anyone else felt the same emotions and then love to share  their recommendations.

Do You Dog-ear?

I blog about books and comics! It’s not a combination I see too often, but I love to mix things up. Reading a few comics between books allows me to reset before going into something different, and I adore all of the artwork. Comics (writing and drawing) require serious skills! Ironically, a lot of my favorite YA authors also write a comic.

I mostly read NA and Adult Romance, but I still venture out and read a few YA books every year. It just depends on my mood! I also have a few favorite authors that write YA, and I will forever read what they write.

My Trending Books

Hello,

People of the world, book readers, writers, trolls, faeries, vampires and etc.

Welcome to my blog! As you can see I write book reviews and I must say that I do not limit myself to one genre. Who likes to be left out anyway? I know I don’t. All books are welcome here, don’t worry it’s a safe place to exist.

I love doing a review a little different each time. It depends on the book.

If you like to send me a book, I would be happy to do a review for you. I am quite busy so by the time you send it to me I will make sure to read it in a month’s time if not earlier.

I love emerging writers or established I am not picky. When the story is good, it doesn’t matter who is writing.

Power Librarian

I’m a librarian and fledgling author who’s passionate about getting the right books into the right hands. I review almost all genres across age categories from young adult to adult. I’m a little pickier when it comes to science fiction and historical fiction. For science fiction, I prefer books that lean towards the “soft” side, and for historical fiction, I prefer genre-blended: eg. spy, thrillers, sci fi, fantasy… For non-fiction – I prefer science books.
