Screen Shot 2015-12-15 at 6.46.02 PMPrimarily I blog about Christian fiction books with a few other genres mixed in. In addition, I have started blogging about products I receive from Amazon in exchange for a review. But my main focus is writing and reviewing the books that I read.

Musings of the Book-a-holic Fairies, Inc.

Screen Shot 2015-12-15 at 6.29.30 PM✼Once upon a time, we were individuals who met and found a new home on Goodreads. We talked and talked for days. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and months turned into years. We suddenly found the need to put our thoughts into one space. That’s when this project group blog started.

Who better to review books than the fairies who absolutely cannot lie?

We aim to spread the fun of reading using our fluttery wings. ✼

Roz DeKett

Screen Shot 2015-12-14 at 8.24.48 PMMy blog is stories on conversations with writers: authors, poets, and playwrights. When I started the blog, I decided to make it a continuation of what I’d done for years as a journalist–interview people and tell their stories. The first person I interviewed about writing was Roald Dahl in 1981, when I was still at university. That’s posted. Everyone else is a writer I’ve interviewed since starting the blog, talking about how they ended up writing their latest work. I read the books and the stories discuss them, but the articles feature the writers, and aren’t book reviews.

The WordSmithe

Screen Shot 2015-12-14 at 8.09.04 PMI believe in the honest review. I don’t seek to bash books online. If I have an issue with something written, I’ll contact the author offline. My personal opinion shouldn’t color a book’s chance with the broad spectrum of readers. I can always find something positive in a book. On those few times I can’t, I simply will not post a review. I’ll let the author know that for whatever reason I couldn’t review it.

I’ll read nearly anything that’s well written. I love to read and I love to write. My blog serves both. On Mondays, I post book recommendations and/or new releases. Reviews are posted, generally, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Wednesdays is my featured author spotlight. Fridays I post book trailers. Hopefully, I’m providing something for everyone.
