BookBum

I’m a UK book blogger who loves to read and review a whole range of genres. My favourite books to read are mystery, thriller, crime, horror, historical fiction, true crime, dystopian and non-fiction. I will, on occasion, read literary fiction too, but I’m quite picky! I use my blog daily, to promote and review books, create useful bookish articles and join in with fun bookish memes.

I accept physical and ebooks from authors from my review policy page in my menu bar. I am a very honest reviewer… you’ve been warned!

Black Magic Reviews

A relatively new blog for books on “the dark, enchanting, and the dead.” The blog is dedicated to the Gothic elegance of modern literature, and prides itself on honest reviews. Thus, books rated three stars and up will be posted on the site. However all authors will be emailed the reviews, and if need be, books will be discussed with them as to why they were given that rating.

AnnaBookBel

I (Annabel) have been blogging about books since autumn 2008. My blog’s changed names a few times since then – from Gaskella to Annabel’s House of Books, before settling as AnnaBookBel when I went self-hosted. I am an eclectic reader – mainly of contemporary fiction but with a mix of nearly everything else thrown in, including crime, SF&F, graphic novels, YA, horror, poetry, classics and modern classics – all on the printed page, I really dislike reading on a screen. I blog 2-3 times per week on a good week and write about every single book I read, with occasional asides for movies, theatre and other things. Hope to see you visit my blog – thanks for reading.

chezshayonline

I reviewed for another blog for a few years before starting chezshayonline. My reviews are posted under a pen name, 2shay. There are four others who review for my blog, Pistol Annie, Pat and Tonya who all do mostly contemporary romance with an occasional historical romance. Fanfiction Floozy reviews mostly…Fanfiction. I am pretty eclectic. I love romance, of course, but I also love popular fiction. I have had or have reviews pending for James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Lincoln Child and I have the new Kathy Reich on hold. I love western romance, but the author has to get that right. I live in farm/ranch country and have spent most of my life around rodeo so those authors need to get the details right…I can be very critical when they are wrong. I like science fiction, but I’m not an addict. I like paranormal a whole lot as long as their isn’t a lot of witchy stuff. I read a little m/m. I do not read or review non-fiction.

Books Teacup and Reviews

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” – C.S. Lewis

Hello everyone! My name is Yesha. I am simply a reader, just like you, who love to read with always a cup of tea in hand. I am no critique. Here you will find book reviews from reader’s point of view.

My actual reading passion started with a book- No, it was not Harry Potter- “Next by Michael Crichton” 2 yrs ago. Unusual choice right! I am qualified pharmacist, so that explains I think. And wait! after that I picked “The Lord of the Rings series”. And then I couldn’t keep myself from reading and I read many famous and different types of books (yes, including Harry Potter).

What I read? You see from the very beginning I picked challenging books and I still couldn’t help myself trying various genres and challenging books. So, I read almost anything with interesting stories whether it is book or short story, and even Wattpad stories.

My reading taste has grown more diverse now and still developing. But, my all time favorite genres are- YA, Fantasy, Fiction, Mythology, Mystery, Paranormal, and Thriller.

I really enjoy fast-paced books. If the book is fast-paced and from one of the genres I mentioned above, Hurrah! it definitely will be in my read list.
